With the regular 3 jaw puller you will never be able to remove the bearing (sorry) and the bearing seperator will most likely curl up a bit (unless you are doing a large bearing) and ch the cage and bend it.

Finally used the Harbor Freight 12 ton puller, plus a 2 1/2 lb sledge in conjunction with a brass hammer (also HF) plus a MAPP torch.
