May 05, 2018· The main bearing is odd - normally Japanese tables have a trapped spindle, and the platter is a friction fit on it, but yours seems to have the spindle out. The screw that traps it may have been removed, or it may be meant to be that way. Either way, you probably need some oil in the bearing. And look at the bottom of the spindle.

Very nice turntable, rock solid. But its a direct drive, does lack the timing and drive of a Garrard or a Lenco. Nice one, its a keeper.

Its sounds quite good (much better than my old Oracle Delphi 2 and of all the 36 thorens i have) but its quite inferior to any Lenco ptp i tried, and not comparing to the Garrard 301 on japanese baoo plinth.
